BEFORE: JONES and WELLFORD, Circuit Judges and RUBIN, Chief District Judge* Per Curiam. Plaintiff appeals the district court's order denying his claim for disability benefits under 45 USC § 401 et seq. of the Social Security Act. Upon to support the decision of the Secretary and, accordingly, we affirm the judgment below. Plaintiff, James Watts, is presently 59 years old, has a fifth grade education and has worked primarily as a roofer, maintenance man and janitor from 1950 through July, 1979. On March 31, 1982, the date on which the claimant was last insured, he was 57 years old and was 55 on the date of his alleged onset of disability. He alleges a disability which commenced in July, 1979 as the result of the following conditions: low back pain, nerves, arthritis and high blood pressure. He has injured his right shoulder and neck and suffers from constant pain as a result of these injuries also. He testified at the hearing that he also suffers from pain in both legs as well as chest pain and shortness of breath following minimal exertion, such as climbing 5 to 10 steps. The claimant also experiences depression and nervousness, sleeplessness and nightmares. Claimant had a nervous breakdown while serving in the armed forces in 1946 and was hospitalized for 15 months. However, he had no continuing or recurrent mental or emotional problems during his employment as a janitor in July, 1979 when he began to suffer from anxiety.
